Had trouble using Uber on Thursday? You were not alone.
Uber says the ride-hailing service should be operating normally again after several users of its app reported having troubles.
According to DownDetector, a website tracking outages for online services, issues began to spike just after 9:30 a.m. ET on Thursday.
Many of the most recent comments on DownDetector indicate users are having problems getting the app to work.
Uber had responded to multiple messages on Twitter, noting it’s trying to fix any issues with the app as soon as possible.
“Currently, there is a known issue that’s preventing users from going active using their app,” reads one tweet from the Twitter feed for Uber support. “Our technical team is already working on fixing this ASAP.”
In an updated statement, Uber says the issues have since been resolved.
“Within the last few hours, a brief service interruption resulted in some riders not being able to request trips,” said Uber in a statement. “Service has been restored, and all riders globally have access to upfront pricing and can request trips as normal.”
