A Nashville Uber Eats driver who stopped at the wrong drop-off location Monday night was stabbed multiple times, police say.

The victim, whose name wasn’t released by Metro Nashville police, mistakenly took a taco truck parked at a Shell station on Fairfield Avenue as the drop-off for the Uber Eats order. Police say he was approached by Zachary Jermain Eubanks, 40, who attacked the 52-year-old driver.

Eubanks demanded the victim hand over his car keys, and when he refused and attempted to flee, police say Eubanks chased him down and stabbed him several times.

The victim was stabbed near his heart and suffered a broken arm when police responded to the scene. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was recovering Tuesday afternoon.

After reviewing video footage that showed the attack, police located Eubanks on Lafayette Street, where he lived. Eubanks was in possession of two cellphones — one of which is presumed to be the victim’s — and a bloody rag and had blood on his pants, a news release says.

Police say Eubanks didn’t cooperate with law enforcement’s questions and refused to identify himself. He was eventually identified by fingerprints.

Eubanks was charged and jailed on April 25 after police say he threatened to “slice” a North Carolina man at a Greyhound bus station. Charges were dismissed May 6 after the victim didn’t appear in court.

Eubanks was charged in Monday night’s attack with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was being held on a $101,000 bond. The stabbing comes just over a week after a Nashville Uber driver reported that her client attacked her and forced her to drive to Georgia at knifepoint. *by Brinley Hineman via Tennesean*
