Uber Lyft Drivers & Gig Economy Workers Weekly News:   Uber is unloading dead weight (Autonomous, Micro-mobility, UberAir) and focusing on Rideshare, Delivery, and Grocery app-based space.   EU’s top court ruled that ride-hailing apps that put passengers directly in touch with drivers are simply, “online platforms”.   Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) has ended its relationship with Uber, and has now partnered with Lyft to do the same thing.   Daniel Boice, Trustify founder, has pleaded guilty to wire and securities fraud.    Uber is appealing the U.S. Center for Disease Control to have drivers be designated “non-health essential workers” so that drivers qualify for early vaccinations once available.   The University of Massachusetts conducted a study on rideshare drivers window settings if driving during the COVID19 global pandemic.    Looks like Joby Aviation will be purchasing UberAir before the years end.   CaresAct continuation?    Waiting to see if the $908 billion COVID19 relief package will pass this week.   MASK UP Y’ALL!!!!!
